God is the creator, and all things belong to God. We are trustees of God's gifts to us and we are accountable to God and each other for their use. Giving is a means of expressing generosity for all of God's gifts, of fulfilling the commandment of loving God and our neighbour, and of living out our call to be the church. Expressing our thanks for God's gifts to us through our gifts of time, talents and money helps to define us as Christians. The way we are stewards of these gifts is how we say thanks. Our investment in Olivet can bring hope and meaning to people's lives through our programs such as Worship, Christian Development, Pastoral Care, Outreach and Mission and Service.
How can I contribute my time and talents to Olivet?
There are many ways to say thanks through the ministry of Olivet United Church. We each have special skills and talents and different amounts of time to volunteer. You were able to make a difference at Olivet by choosing an area to contribute your time, knowledge and friendship. There were many areas from which to choose. One could look through this website and see if there was an area of interest. Previously, you could phone our church administrator at the church office or speak to someone at church...or Email your offer to volunteer to the church, and the administrator would direct your request to the right group. You could have checked our announcements in the bulletin or our last newsletter to see if there was an area that needed help.
In the past, how could I have contributed financially to Olivet?
