Exchange of Ideas
There are several forms of communication available for our congregation.
Members and adherents of the congregation received the church newsletter four times a year. We did not charge for it. It was a forum for exchange of information and views. It reported on the life and work of Olivet and also helped members who cannot attend regularly to keep in touch. If you had material to submit for publication, you would have contacted the editors online or through the church office.
United Church Observer
The Observer is the award-winning monthly magazine of the United Church of Canada. It brings us religious news and views from across Canada and the world. The congregation has the opportunity to subscribe by a Church Group Plan. The Outreach Committee administers the plan and renews subscriptions by collecting fees in the fall.
Olivet's Sunday bulletin contains announcements of importance for the coming week and month ahead.
Joseph Pim Library
Our library contains a good mix of material including religious reference books, children's books, novels and a magazine exchange. Our librarian is always on the lookout for new material of interest to add to the collection. Drop in to the library to see what's new.
Keep the church informed of your current email address in order to receive all pertinent communications. The church does not share email addresses outside the church community.
